Celebrate queer icons Lana Wachowski & Lilly Wachowski with host Baby Sp!t! We’ll kick off The Night of 1000… Wachowskis with the iconic queer crime thriller, Bound, followed by their 1999 action sci-fi hit The Matrix. Pleather attire encouraged!

ON SCREEN: The Matrix

1999. Directed by Lana Wachowski & Lilly Wachowski. Runtime: 136 minutes. Rated R.
Neo (Keanu Reeves) believes that Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne), an elusive figure considered to be the most dangerous man alive, can answer his question — What is the Matrix? Neo is contacted by Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss), a beautiful stranger who leads him into an underworld where he meets Morpheus. They fight a brutal battle for their lives against a cadre of viciously intelligent secret agents. It is a truth that could cost Neo something more precious than his life.

On Stage: Baby Sp!t

Lyric Robin (they/she) also known as Baby Sp!t, is a multifaceted entertainer who originated from Orlando Florida but has lived everywhere from Los Angeles all the way to Alaska and is now nesting in Portland Oregon. Riding off a high of her latest musical release “Inside Out”, Lyric has shown they are a force to be reckoned with sonically with a collaborative resume of including the likes of Yvie Oddly & Aja (Rupauls Drag Race), Eyricka Lanvin (HBO’s Legendary), Chase Icon, TOOPOOR and many more. Lyric has also had a hand in producing multiple larger scale events here in the Portland scene as well as events in Brooklyn and LA. On top of these things they have designed outfit pieces seen in Entertainment Weekly, and worn by artists like Dana Dentata who recently was on tour with Korn and Evanescence.
