ON SCREEN: Bound

1996. Directed by Lana Wachowski & Lilly Wachowski. Runtime: 105 minutes. Rated R.
Sparks fly when Violet (Jennifer Tilly) sets eyes on Corky (Gina Gershon) in an elevator. Violet is the girlfriend of a violent gangster, Caesar (Joe Pantoliano), while Corky is fresh out of prison and doing renovations on the apartment next door. As the two women launch into a passionate love affair, they assemble an intricate plan for Violet to escape from Caesar, with two million dollars of the mob’s money — but the important part is to make it out alive.

On Stage: Baby Sp!t

Lyric Robin (they/she) also known as Baby Sp!t, is a multifaceted entertainer who originated from Orlando Florida but has lived everywhere from Los Angeles all the way to Alaska and is now nesting in Portland Oregon. Riding off a high of her latest musical release “Inside Out”, Lyric has shown they are a force to be reckoned with sonically with a collaborative resume of including the likes of Yvie Oddly & Aja (Rupauls Drag Race), Eyricka Lanvin (HBO’s Legendary), Chase Icon, TOOPOOR and many more. Lyric has also had a hand in producing multiple larger scale events here in the Portland scene as well as events in Brooklyn and LA.
