In this animated feature by noted Japanese director Hayao Miyazaki, 10-year-old Chihiro and her parents stumble upon a seemingly abandoned amusement park. After her mother and father are turned into giant pigs, Chihiro meets the mysterious Haku, who explains that the park is a resort for supernatural beings who need a break from their time spent in the earthly realm, and that she must work there to free herself and her parents.

My name is Nori. As an avid advocate for Portland’s independent restaurants, my favorite connections are with food people. In addition to food blogging, I’ve collaborated and consulted some of Portland’s most acclaimed chefs and restaurateurs. My latest project is called “Tikim”, which means “to taste” in Tagalog, and I am one of three founders. Our mission is to further the Filipino-American narrative by sharing the stories of our collective cultural experiences and fostering personal connections through Filipino food. The concept launched in October 2021.
