THE EXPERIENCE

Good manners, clean houses, and murder! Join us for John Waters’ gleefully twisted cult classic Serial Mom, a dark comedy where PTA meetings, prank calls, and fashion crimes can all be punishable by death. Bingo starlet Violet Hex will add extra chaos to Waters’ perfectly unhinged suburban nightmare with custom Movie Bingo.

ON SCREEN: Serial Mom

1994. Directed by John Waters. Runtime: 1h 34m. Rated R.

Beverly (Kathleen Turner) is the perfect happy homemaker, along with her doting husband and two children, but this nuclear family just might explode when her fascination with serial killers collides with her ever-so-proper code of ethics.

ON STAGE: Violet Hex

Violet Hex is a maximalist drag starlet, DJ, cult cinema programmer, and a staple of Portland’s queer nightlife scene. Violet is known best for her larger-than-life drag performances and dramatic fashions, as well as for her work in Portland presenting queer celebrations of cult cinema throughout the decades. Living at the intersection of punk and disco, Violet Hex has opened for/collaborated with legends such as John Waters, Lady Miss Kier, Jinkx Monsoon, Susanne Bartsch, and Peaches Christ.
