Rhinestones might look cheap and gaudy, but in the right light, boy are they fabulous! Watch Dolly teach Sly a thing or two about Country Music; dress up and be there to vote if this is a comedy, a drama, a relic, a child of the 80’s, or just bizarre enough to be crowned a Dolly-tastic classic. Preceded by music from the fine folks who put on Dolly Hoot Night! Music starts at 8:40PM.
Alexa Wiley, a Portland-based musician with an abundance of long-time local musical roots, will perform Dolly Parton covers with her bandmate and lead guitarist Bret Malmquist prior to the screening. Alexa Wiley’s creations are a mix of poetry, jazz, world beat, country, rock, and folk accented by evocative vocal harmonies. More details about her work can be found on her website. Begins at 8:40PM.
