The charismatic Sir Lionel Frost considers himself to be the world’s foremost investigator of myths and monsters. Trouble is, none of his small-minded, high-society peers seems to recognize this. Hoping to finally gain acceptance from these fellow adventurers, Sir Lionel travels to the Pacific Northwest to prove the existence of a legendary creature known as the missing link.

Laika’s Missing Link is fun for the whole family! Featuring behind-the-scenes goodness, coloring activity, and real puppets from the film,  join us for a night of adventure and creative exploration as Mr. Link and crew set forth from our very own backyard in the Pacific Northwest to discover Shangri La. Ultimately they discover that family can be found — and made! — in some of the most surprising places.

Film starts at 6PM, but get there early to meet the puppets, grab a snack from our concession stand, and enjoy coloring pages from the film. Doors open at 5PM.

Mr. Link (Susan)

Mr. Link is the sightly silly, surprisingly smart and soulful beast upon whom Sir Lionel’s dreams depend. As species go, he’s as endangered as they get: he’s the last of his kind, and he’s lonely. He may look like a knuckle-dragging beast, but his good manners and ability to read and write make him a wonderful traveling companion. If only he weren’t a boyish bundle of nerves. If only his fingers weren’t so big and clumsy. But even with his long list of shortcomings, he’s unflappable in his determination to find his long-lost cousins and a place where he belongs.

Trapped in a life she can no longer share with her late-husband Aldous (another great explorer and one-time friend to Sir Lionel) Adelina yearns to break free of her “shuttered cage”. She also happens to possess the only hand-drawn map to the mythical land of Shangri-La. Intending to charm the map from her with his wily ways, Sir Lionel gets much more than he bargained for when she forcefully interests herself into the adventure.
