THE EXPERIENCE

Ready to take the leap into therapy? Great! Because it’s Halloween season and Dr. Carla is returning to her office after a long-term trip to Transylvania. Ask Wampire Carla is a hilarious night of improvisational drag comedy starring Portland’s premier drag clown Carla Rossi. She might not have degrees or qualifications—or a pulse—but she has a full bar, liability waivers, a coffin full of native soil, and a couch with your name on it. Joined by her bug-eating receptionist Svetlana Trantastic, Carla and Svetty welcome special celebrity clients each session so you—and they—don’t have to do all the work. This time, Carla’s three new Transylvanian brides take the couch for a spot of quad-rouple therapy: Portland drag legends Adrienne Alexander, Monica Boulevard, and Wanda Bones (as Queer Horror favorite Lucy Westenra). Ask Wampire Carla: it’s like a late night talk show, except it’s unlicensed therapy with undead drag queens.

Rating: PG-13 / R / Don’t bring your children.

Svetlana Trantastic
Svetlana Trantastic is a comedian, puppeteer, snake-oil salesgirl, psychic, and drag performer. She has written and performed short plays, filthy jingles, and comedy sketches in the seedier night clubs of Portland since 2012. Svetlana has been an actor with American Immersion Theater since 2020, and she was crowned the Queen of Portland Drag Comedy in a ten-week competition and has yet to be unseated. According to Willamette Week, Svetlana mastered “background acting” in Ask Dr. Carla. @svetlanatrantastic

Adrienne Alexander
Affectionately known as the “Largest White Woman In Captivity,” Adrienne Alexander prides herself in being a long time Portlander. In her 36 years of performing, pageantry, travel, and costume making, Adrienne is now in “semi retirement” mode, and was most recently Miss Gay Oregon 51. Adrienne appreciates the opportunity to help out the community with fundraising and awareness events, an occasional “show,” and definitely would not miss the opportunity to perform with one of her favorites—Carla Rossi. By day, Adrienne’s alter ego, Jason, works in the banking industry as a foreign currency processor. @theadriennealexander

Monica has a passion for fundraising and charity organizations, having been a member of the Imperial Sovereign Rose Court for over thirty years and serving on the Board of Directors for over 25 years. Monica believes we have a responsibility to leave this world a little better than we found it.  @monicaboulevard
