THE EXPERIENCE
Join Nationale for our inaugural Movie Night featuring All the Beauty and the Bloodshed, a biographical documentary film about photographer, artist, and activist Nan Goldin. Nationale will be vending curated photography books along with a special intro to the film by Doug Lowell.
ON SCREEN: All the Beauty and the Bloodshed
2022. Directed by Laura Poitras. Runtime: 2hr 7min. Not Rated.
From Academy Award winner Laura Poitras comes an epic, emotional and interconnected story about internationally renowned artist and activist Nan Goldin told through her slideshows, intimate interviews, ground-breaking photography, and rare footage of her personal fight to hold the Sackler family accountable for the opioid crisis. The film interweaves Goldin’s past and present, the deeply personal and urgently political, from P.A.I.N.’s (Prescription Addiction Intervention Now) actions.
