A celebration of the Queen of Cool and the music and fashion of London in the 80s. Tease up your hair, fluff up those shoulder pads, and join filmmaker/DJ Donal Mosher for a night of Sade & 80s artists, followed by the film Absolute Beginners featuring Sade, David Bowie & other icons of the era. Prospector Records will sell records from 6:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.

Love, music, fashion, and racial tension collide in this cult musical favorite. With performances by Sade, David Bowie, and other Brit luminaries, Absolute Beginners is neon 1980’s vision of underground London in the 50’s – a place where the dreams young lovers and artists face the bigotry and corruption of the pop industry.

ON STAGE: Donal Mosher

Donal Mosher is a filmmaker, photographer, musician, and DJ. Alongside Micheal Palmieri he an award winning director of October Country, The Gospel of Eureka, and the live cinema project Spectral Transmissions. His Sade Island international DJ sets are a staple of Portland’s weekend bar music scenes.
