THE EXPERIENCE
Join us for a night of movie bingo with Portland’s own Violet Hex, with George Miller’s The Witches of Eastwick—where Cher, Susan Sarandon, and Michelle Pfeiffer light up the screen in a tale of wit, power, and witchy sisterhood.
ON SCREEN: The Witches of Eastwick
1986. Directed by George Miller. Runtime: 1hr 58min. Rated R.
Three single women in a picturesque Rhode Island village have their wishes granted—at a cost—when a mysterious and flamboyant man arrives in their lives.
ON STAGE: Violet Hex
Violet Hex is a maximalist drag starlet, DJ, cult cinema programmer, and a staple of Portland’s queer nightlife scene. Violet is known best for her larger-than-life drag performances and dramatic fashions, as well as for her work in Portland presenting queer celebrations of cult cinema throughout the decades. Living at the intersection of punk and disco, Violet Hex has opened for/collaborated with legends such as John Waters, Lady Miss Kier, Jinkx Monsoon, Susanne Bartsch, and Peaches Christ.
