Featuring Only Lovers Left Alive, Jim Jarmusch’s moody meditation on art, love, and immortality; TWI-HARD, an epic revisit of the glitter-soaked melodrama of Twilight I–III; Sinners (2025), Ryan Coogler’s bold new vision of desire, damnation, and redemption; The Hunger (1983), a sultry, stylish descent into immortal longing; and The Lost Boys (1987), a cult classic that redefined vampire cool for a new generation.

ON STAGE: Machado Mijiga

Multi-instrumentalist and Portland native Machado Mijiga wears many hats, both literally and metaphorically.

Classically-trained, jazz-weathered, and eclectically inclined, Mijiga left the proverbial creative “box” at a very early age, with access to many instruments and a diverse musical background brought about by an intercultural heritage.

Mijiga is a musical polymath; composer, producer, bandleader, educator, gear fanatic, and audio engineer, to name a few.

Young Gifted and Black/Brown Portland (Y.G.B.) was founded by 3 artists of Color who were seeking to build community and create spaces of joy in the Portland Metro Area. YGB has been organizing since 2015, creating safe spaces for Black and POC to heal through dance, music, and art. We measure success based on critical connections made by attendees, continued participation in our events and the growth of our community networks.
