THE EXPERIENCE
Make a wearable red bow tie from crepe paper and glue and channel your inner Pee-wee Herman! Crepe paper is a thick, stretchy, shapeable paper that is fun to work with. No experience needed for this easy craft session hosted by Portland paper artist Inga Ilze Peterson. Stick around for the Night of 1,000 Tim Burtons, and come back for the 7 p.m. screening of Edward Scissorhands with a different paper craft!

The eccentric and childish Pee-wee Herman embarks on a big adventure when his beloved bicycle is stolen. Armed with information from a fortune-teller and a relentless obsession with his prized possession, Pee-wee encounters a host of odd characters and bizarre situations as he treks across the country to recover his bike.

Inga Peterson is a Portland, Oregon-based paper artist and instructor specializing in crepe paper flowers and plants. Her paper sculptures are a unique blend of craft, fine art and design, using hand painted details and intricately hand cut shapes to capture the natural beauty of botanicals. She offers online tutorials on Patreon and in person workshops at Wildcraft Studios in Portland. Her paper art has been shown in galleries throughout Oregon.
