Drawing on extensive research and interviews with Candy’s closest collaborators—including Dan Aykroyd, Catherine O’Hara, Martin Short, Steve Martin, and more—Myers paints a warm, funny, and deeply human portrait of one of comedy’s most beloved stars.

Following a conversation, we’ll screen John Hughes’ holiday classic Planes, Trains and Automobiles (1987), starring Candy alongside Steve Martin. A rare chance to honor Candy’s enduring brilliance both on the page and on the big screen.

Paul Myers is a Canadian writer and musician living in Berkeley, California.
