THE EXPERIENCE

Welcome guest programmer Stephanie Hsu, whose curated series—Interdimensional Corporeal Love Body—is all about time, space, and romance! She has programmed three films for us, including: Before Sunset, Everything Everywhere All At Onceand Interstellar! Last in the series is Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar—a story about a group of explorers who make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage.

From Stephanie Hsu : interdimensional corporeal love body

i’m a sucker for a love story. i love love, i just do. the greatest mystery of all time. to feel so human, to feel more than human. here are some of my faves that scratch at the bigness of it all.

Interstellar: okay. y’all. i admit to you that i just watched this movie for the first time recently and i was lucky enough to watch it on a big screen. it changed my life. i think it is my favorite movie right now. i think about it daily. if you haven’t seen it, you’re in for a treat. i can’t believe how relevant this film is even though it came out over 10 years ago. oh how i wish i could geek out about this one with you after you watch it, but i have to zip my lips from spoilers. enjoy. love wins. also, listen to the telepathy tapes if you haven’t already.

In Earth’s future, a global crop blight and second Dust Bowl are slowly rendering the planet uninhabitable. Professor Brand (Michael Caine), a brilliant NASA physicist, is working on plans to save mankind by transporting Earth’s population to a new home via a wormhole. But first, Brand must send former NASA pilot Cooper (Matthew McConaughey) and a team of researchers through the wormhole and across the galaxy to find out which of three planets could be mankind’s new home.
