THE EXPERIENCE

Grape Culture, created by comedian Toni Nagy and performance artist Seraphina Supernova, is a two-woman tragic-comedy stripping back the cultural bondage of domination without consent that upholds our current collective paradigm.

“Grape Culture,” which received rave reviews at both the Hollywood and Edinburgh Fringe Festivals, and recently sold out its first off-broadway run at SoHo Playhouse in New York City, embodies the thrusting energy of comedy while also being penetrated by dance, film, storytelling, clowning, stand up, and skits.

Toni and Seraphina pervert the pretty by unmasking the ugly truth that “grape” culture isn’t a part of our culture, it is our culture. The show undresses the consciousness of “grape culture” while stripping back the predatory and pervasive programming that is choking us all. “Grape” isn’t just about a single violent act in an alleyway, but a psychological imprint that dictates not only how we treat each other, but also the planet.

Toni and Seraphina offer a cultural analysis alongside the sharing of their personal experiences, transforming trauma into art and using humor, innovative storytelling and self-reflection to ignite dialogue and collective healing. Laughter is our therapy and Toni and Seraphina are convinced that healing can occur when we are willing to dive into messy waters so we can then swim to an oasis of a new paradigm.

You can see Grape Culture at Tomorrow Theater Saturday May 23rd at 7 pm, doors open at 6:30 pm. Tickets are $20 pre-sale, and $25 at the door.

ON STAGE:  Toni Nagy and Seraphina Supernova

Grape Culture is created by comedian and internet sensation Toni Nagy, and performance artist Seraphina Supernova. They are a dynamic duo blending comedy, storytelling, dance, and performance to explore trauma, consent, and systemic oppression. Toni Nagy is a stand up comic and content creator most known for her viral videos where she interpretive dances her philosophies and political rants while pontificating, gyrating, and questioning culture. Seraphina is an award winning performance and visual artist whose work explores the body, witchcraft, feminism, and self-realization. Both Toni and Sarah are trauma-informed somatic practitioners, bringing their lived experiences and expertise to create a bold, transformative theatrical experience.
