THE EXPERIENCE
Join woo-woo for a Self-Care Sunday before the French Agnès Varda classic Cléo from 5 to 7 — which follows a French pop singer, Cléo, as she spends two hours in Paris, awaiting the results of a medical test that may confirm a cancer diagnosis, exploring her fears and self-absorption. In advance of the film, the 20min immersive meditation will explore the 5 Koshas—layers of being that bridge the physical, energetic, mental, wisdom, and blissful self. Through gentle movement and guided visualization, we’ll journey inward, releasing tension, restoring balance, and deepening self-awareness.
ON SCREEN: Cléo from 5 to 7
1962. Directed by Agnès Varda. Runtime: 1hr 30min. Not Rated.
Agnès Varda eloquently captures Paris in the sixties with this real-time portrait of a singer set adrift in the city as she awaits test results of a biopsy. A chronicle of the minutes of one woman’s life, Cléo from 5 to 7 is a spirited mix of vivid vérité and melodrama, featuring a score by Michel Legrand and cameos by Jean-Luc Godard and Anna Karina.
