THE EXPERIENCE

Sub-Basement Studios’ Annual Viking Film Festival is a celebration of independent student filmmakers at Portland State University. Sub-Basement Studios is Portland State’s independent student run organization that fosters a collaborative space for passionate filmmakers. We are constantly working on projects and offer weekly workshops for students to collaborate on. Our aim is to support students on their filmmaking journey.

Sub-Basement Studios provides a space for filmmakers to come together and collaborate on their scripts and technical skills. The Viking Film Festival is our biggest event of the year, as it gives students the opportunity to showcase their hard work on the big screen. This event is the perfect place to enjoy independent student films and network with other filmmakers in the Portland metro area.

We are excited to be hosting our fourth annual Viking Film Festival at the PamCut Tomorrow Theatre for the second time. Come support local filmmakers and enjoy a variety of experimental, narrative, documentary, and creative films on June 6th!
