THE EXPERIENCE
Memorie Olfattive is a film documentary about perfumer and visionary Meo Fusciuni, exploring his life and creative process. The film beautifully follows his early beginnings and path into the present, exploring themes of identity and personal transformation.
One of the best parts of art is that it is often hard to describe, difficult to put words to, and ultimately must be experienced for oneself. The artists making such profound works as these produce pieces that are much more difficult to describe, as they are not just the source of this feeling, this heart, this soul, but also the hand that offers it into our collective existence. Portland fragrance enthusiasts have shown great care and passion for Meo Fusiuni’s works of fragrant art over the years; anyone who has smelled these vulnerable and singular scents from this honest and big-hearted perfumer knows how moving, evocative, and emotional they are. Meo, in turn, cares deeply for Portland and Fumerie Parfumerie, and is responsible for Fumerie‘s very first original fragrance, Ponte Etereo, which is inspired in equal measure by Portland and the emotional bond between Tracy Tsefalas (Fumerie Founder, Owner, & Creative Director) and Meo Fusciuni. This documentary, directed by Fran
cesco Spagnuolo and produced by Angelika Vision, is an intimate and poetic journey through scent, memory, and identity.
“A film born from the desire to reveal what often remains unseen: the emotions, places, and memories that give life to every creation.”
Fumerie is honored to be introducing this meaningful and visually stunning film at PAM CUT’s Tomorrow Theater.
Following the film, Fumerie will be hosting a Q&A in the theater with Meo Fusciuni, his wife and creative partner, Federica Castellani, and Fumerie Parfumerie Founder & Creative Director Tracy Tsefalas.
Before the film screens, all are welcome to visit Fumerie Parfumerie for a chance to meet Meo & Fede, explore their various works, and to purchase bottles for them to sign, from 4-6 pm.
