THE EXPERIENCE

Join us for a celebration of the best worst Batman movie ever made, Movie Bingo edition! Hosted by bingo superhero Violet Hex , this screening honors Joel Schumacher’s gloriously over-the-top masterpiece: outrageously queer, and undeniably high camp.

Uma Thurman as Poison Ivy, serving eco-terrorist glamour? Iconic. Arnold Schwarzenegger delivering ice puns in full cryogenic drag? Unhinged. Bat-suits inspired by the aesthetics of leather bars? Cinema. Alicia Silverstone racing into Gotham as Batgirl to save Alfred? As if!

Grab a bingo card and experience every freeze ray, neon set piece, and spectacularly misguided creative choice on the big screen.

ON SCREEN: Batman & Robin

1997. Directed by Joel Schumacher. Runtime: 2 hours 5 minutes. Rated PG-13.

Batman and his sidekick Robin attempt to the foil the sinister schemes of a deranged set of new villains, most notably the melancholy Mr. Freeze, who wants to make Gotham City into an arctic region, and the sultry Poison Ivy, a botanical femme fatale. As the Dynamic Duo contend with these bad guys, a third hero, Batgirl, joins the ranks of the city’s crime-fighters.

ON STAGE: Violet Hex
